Issues Updating the HL1 Firmware Automatically

I have a bunch of MM Halow Link 1 units. I am experiencing the disconnecting issues described in this thread (Reliability tests - #7 by dblair22). Unfortunately I seem unable to upgrade any of our units as I keep getting an HTTP Request failed with code 4.

I also cannot find the Firmware for the 2.7.4 release anywhere. Best that I can find is the 2.7.2 release on the Github from March 3rd. Can someone point me to the latest version?

This error might be happening due to an incorrect clock setting on your device. Go to Advanced Settings → System and Sync your time with your browser.

Also make sure your HaLowLink1 has internet connectivity

The time was off as you predicted (I think that it loses track of time when I flashed their config). I synced it and still no luck. I tried rebooting as well to no avail. The unit does have internet connectivity. I also tried on a couple of other units using the same and also different configs.

Basically all that error is saying that the HaLowLink1 can’t access https://repo.apps.morsemicro.com . It sounds like there may be something going on with your routing which could be causing the disconnects. See Intermittent disconnects which is a follow up disconnect for some of those intermittent disconnects.

If you’re still having issues, the 2.7.4 release can be downloaded directly from https://repo.apps.morsemicro.com/openwrt/releases/latest/targets/ramips/mt7621/openwrt-morse-2.7.4-halowlink1.bin

The source be available on GitHub in the next few days.
