HaLowLink 1 AP WNM Power_Save

How do I activate WiFi power save.

Go to Advanced, then ‘Network → Wireless’, click edit on the appropriate interface, then select ‘Enable Powersave’ on the Powersave tab:

Once you’ve done this, ‘Save’ your settings.

May I ask why you want this on the HL1? In general we expect it to be mains powered, and the mt7621 chip does not have the ability to clock down so it will draw a relatively high current regardless of the state of the MM6108.

Thanks for the quick response. I thought AP is waking up the Station for WNM and enabling power save on HL1 may help.

Sorry I forgot to mention, I am using EKH-05 as Station and running iPerf app on it. So I need to compile iPerf app with power save enabled on the Station. I want to complete power measurement on Station. Does this makes sense?

For the AP, if the STA support powersave it should already work. But if you’re running an iperf test, I don’t think you’ll see any sleeping from the EKH05, so I think I’m still not understanding something.

If the problem is that the STA is waking up unexpectedly, you may want to make sure your HaLowLink 1 AP is on an isolated network and consider disabling umdns.
