Halow Mesh client for ESP32S3 (Heltec HT-HC33)

We are developing Wi-Fi Halow based infrastructure, but found direct AP/STA cannot reliably cover large area. So we decided to implement the mesh protocol on the end device. Thanks to mm-iot-esp32 2.10.4 start open source mac layer. After a week vide coding, I make it work with my mix setup MM8108-EKH19 + Heltec HT-H7608 + Heltec HT-HC33

Hi @jasonhao

It’s really cool that you have made your own 802.11s implementation!
Just to clarify, we do not offer support to modified versions of morselib

The main reason we opensourced morselib was so that people could compile for their MCU of choice

For all interested parties, we are currently working on S1G relay and it will be included in the next the release.

Hi @cmistry ,

Thank you so much for your information. Why I’m making that is because that is missing on MCU, and that’s important to us to expend the Wi-Fi Halow coverage. May I know what you mentioned S1G relay is about openwrt or the mm-iot-esp32 ? Thanks!

Hi @jasonhao ,

S1G relay support will be for mm-iot-esp32, but the root AP of the network can (and probably should) be a Linux AP
