HaLow in Distribution Centers

I was speaking with a network engineer at a large global retail distributor.
They have a trucking yard with traditional Wi-Fi mesh APs on light poles to cover the entire lot. They have many challenges of installing and powering these APs, and cited a very high cost-per-AP to install new facilities.

This network is used to push job tickets and product routing information to the truck’s in-cab computer. It’s a low bandwidth application.
I mentioned to them that HaLow could cover their entire yard with only one or two APs located on the sides of the distribution building, and that Morse Micro has HaLow products that can be added to an existing PC and appear as any regular network interface. I suspect that they may be investigating this in the near future.
