HaLow Ideas from WLPC

Tons of ideas here…

As you’ve shown, long range wireless video would be an immediate benefit to my campus network.

I mentioned to Arien that I may have a very strong use case for HaLow technology in building automation and sensor networks.

Location tracking, especially with bi-directional communication, could be used by my students: activity when they are outdoors, hiking through the woods or on other adventures. We’ve had an incident in the past couple of years where a student had gotten lost on a hike, and it took quite a while to locate them. Being able to phone home with a GPS location, as well as provide basic two-way voice would have made the rescue in this situation much faster and easier.

I’m positive I can come up with many other ideas for this technology, but this is what I have at the moment. Thanks for doing your presentation and for taking the time to talk with us all at WLPC!

Hi bward…
Love your range of ideas here, especially around building automation with sensor networks. This is one of the strongest areas for new innovations using Wi-Fi HaLow, so I think you & your students could be onto something if you create a project or two in this area.
We’d be delighted to send you 2 Halowlink devices so that you can get your creative juices flowing.
Please drop me a line at andy.mcfarlane@morsemicro.com and give me your shipping details so that I can arrange to get the 2 devices to you.
Regards,
