gr-halow-mesh: open-source HaLow IQ decoder seeking 4/8 MHz test vectors

Hi everyone — I’ve published gr-halow-mesh, an independent, receive-only GNU Radio and Python project. It decodes 802.11ah raw IQ to FCS-verified frames and annotates 802.11s mesh traffic. The code is GPL-3.0-or-later.

We have verified local 1 and 2 MHz probes, matched 116/116 frames from a published 2 MHz IQ/PCAP pair, and matched 58/58 frames in an 8 MHz MCS0 mesh recording against an independent MM6108 monitor. The receiver is still research-grade: 4 and 8 MHz high-MCS recovery is inconsistent, and live sample loss is not yet measured end to end.

I’m looking for shareable, labelled full-PPDU 4 or 8 MHz complex-IQ recordings, especially short MCS4/5 frames and roughly 480-byte MCS7 frames. Exact expected MPDU bytes including FCS, transmit settings, sample rate, channel offset, and an independent monitor capture would be especially useful. Reviews of timing, equalization, and pilot tracking are welcome too.

The README and current results show what passes and what remains open. If you have a vector, an idea, or would like to collaborate, please reply here or open a GitHub issue. We can coordinate how to share recordings without exposing private network traffic.
