Title: 802.11s mesh on HaLowLink 2 / MM8108: timeline to production (non-beta) status?

Hi all,

We’re planning a multi-hop HaLow backbone for building automation across a multi-storey commercial building, and 802.11s looks like the best fit. The HaLowLink User Guide 2.11.2 marks 802.11s as a beta feature not intended for production use yet. The 3.2.3 release notes list transient throughput drops in multi-hop 802.11s meshes (self-healing in about 2 seconds), and the 3.1.1 notes say mesh stability and throughput gaps persist.

Could the Morse Micro team share:

  1. Is there a target release or timeframe for 802.11s on MM8108 to leave beta and be supported for production?
  2. Which known issues are currently blocking that?
  3. Will the HaLowLink limits of 10 mesh peers and 4 hops change? We noticed 3.0.2 raised the mesh peer count to 20 on MM6108.
  4. For a production multi-hop deployment today, which do you recommend on MM8108: EasyMesh, 802.11s, or another approach? Is running a routing layer such as batman-adv over 802.11s supported or tested?

Thanks!
