Reflash MM8108-EKH01 correct image files

Hi,

I was trying to connect two MM8108-EKH01 together but I think I messed something up because the client wasn’t showing up for the AP and now the IP of the client has been changed and I can’t connect to it now. I believe I have to reflash it now using Balena Etcher? Could you please provide a link to the correct image download so I can reflash the SD card? Please also inform me of anything I may need to know about the process of reflashing it beyond just uploading the image files to Balena Etcher.

You should just be able to grab the latest MM8108-EKH01 image from our downloads dashboard here.

I think the only notable thing is that Balena will sometimes fail around halfway through the verification step after flashing. It’s often a false positive and it’s usually a time save just plugging the card into the RPI and seeing if it works.

If you don’t want to reflash, there are only two things that are likely to have happened which would mean you can’t access it at 10.42.0.1 over ethernet:

  • you used the wizard and selected ethernet uplink or bridged, which will put it into DHCP client mode. You can get to it by plugging it into anything with a DHCP server (e.g. your local router).
  • you used the wizard and it needed to change the IP from 10.42.0.1 to 192.168.12.1 (complicated reasons for this). If this has happened, you’ll see this subnet with the IP on your computer.
