This is Werter, an engineer at Green Engineering Tech.
We’re currently trying to establish a Wi-Fi local area network in the buildings we’re constructing.
We previously conducted experiments using Heltec’s HT-H7608 to establish a local area network in a Chinese laboratory, but the results weren’t as good as they claimed, so we decided to look for another solution.
We recently became interested in Morse Micro’s MM6108 chip and its based HalowLink-1, and were excited to hear that the new MM8108 chip and HalowLink-2 will be released.
We’d like to ask the following questions about applying these products to our business:
-
I heard that the functionality of Halowlink-1 and Halowlink-2 are relatively similar (except for the chip’s transmit power and data transfer rate). What are their dimensions and weight (excluding antenna and holder)? I couldn’t find any information on this.
-
I understand Morse Micro has offices in Shenzhen and Hangzhou, China. If I cannot purchase Halowlink products in China, why do they have offices there?
-
What is the contact information for Chinese office?
-
Are all specifications of Halowlink-2 identical to Halowlink-1, except for the MM8108?
-
If Halowlink-2 is released in the first quarter of 2026, what is the expected price roughly?
-
I understand that the Halowlink-1’s point-to-point communication test distance is 1.5 km in free space (data transmission rate 1.5 Mbps). Is this accurate?
-
Considering the transmission power and reception sensitivity of Halowlink-2, can its communication distance be estimated to be approximately twice that of Halowlink-1?
We look forward to working with everyone in the future and would appreciate kind reply.
Best regards
