Does the firmware for the mm6108 need to be loaded on each boot or does it just need to be done once?

Does the mm6108 support booting from external flash so that a host device could just hold the mm6108 in reset and update the external flash directly for managing firmware updates.

same with the bcf is that held in internal flash or can it be loaded by the mm6108 from external flash?

Unfortunately there’s no support for loading the firmware from an external flash, and it needs to be loaded on each boot of the chip as there is no sizeable internal flash to the MM6108 to store the firmware. The same goes for the BCF.
