Definitely some progress. I designing a matching circuit to match the antenna to 50 Ohm in the enclosure. With all the electronics I measured the S11 to only be -2 dB, so definitely something to gain there. Now I am waiting for the PCBs to arrive.
I am also looking at bidirectional amplifiers and using HaLow Mesh. Both have some drawbacks, but should provide higher range and robustness.
The rest of the year I will be travelling a lot, but after the New Year’s I will be on site so progress should be faster.
