I’ve just unboxed my test kit and I’m having great fun with the camera. Just wondering if it’s safe to remove the foam in the camera housing? I want to get more angles with the camera and I can’t do that with the foam in the way…
Yes it’s safe to remove. It’s there primarily for shipping to protect the flex circuit from getting crimped. I tend to keep is for transport, but I’m taking these kits on the road a lot.

Fair enough, what about the camera angle?
Just be careful not to crimp or pull out that FPC and you’ll be fine. You might find you need a little bit of tape to hold a particular angle with that mount.
I think the 3D printed parts for the camera house is wayyyyyyyy tooooo loosy to me and it can’t hold the position. Is it a design flaw?
Handy tip for getting a camera angle, you can jam the foam at different angles to get the angle you want, plus it also makes the camera sit nicely
