# Maximum range limit

Hey, first of all thanks a lot for your excellent MM8108 products!

As a small supporting sidenote: i am also highly interested in that optional change of slot time to increase maximum range of the product.

Especially with your latest new m20 productline[1] and proper antennas, very high distances are possible in specific usecases like obstacle free environments like open sea(where i would have a big usecase in). It would be too sad if a timing limitation would prevent such usecases. You self showed the calculations and a lot of nice usecases for long range in your video [2]. Also newracom / teledatics support such very long distances [3].

Also it would be user-friendly if there would be a optional setting to set a maximum distance and appropriate timings are set automatically. E.g. Mikrotik implemented that for their 802.11n device to keep it as simple as possible for the user [3] .
