For a while now I have wanted to have multi room synchronous audio over WiFi HaLow.
While this could be done with a couple of HaLowLinks already I wanted a dedicated solution. To address this I am happy to present LongWave Audio.
This uses a Snapcast server, a forked version of Snapclient for esp32 (snapclient halow) and custom endpoints (esp32s3 + HaLow module + DAC) to create a what I think is a very neat little package.
The setup and installation steps are a little in depth for a community post and are subject to change so please refer to the project website linked above.
Work is still on going but the stream is now reasonably stable and I am excited for others to give it a try. Let me know what you think and feel free to reach out here or on github if you have any issues.
